Hey!
I'm here to capture all of life's moments. I work with couples, families, entrepreneurs and women who seek to empower themselves through boudoir photography.

Can we do this wedding again?!
These two go down as some of my favorite clients of ALL TIME and my newfound friends <3 I’ve gotten to know Kate & Joe over the past year and a half between their trips to NC and their engagement session in St. Pete, FL last November. Their wedding was supposed to be this June, but 2020 had other ideas. However, they handled it with grace and ease and postponed to August at Timber Rivers Wedding & Event Venue in Ashe County on the North Fork of the New River.
Every part of their day was curated based upon their AMAZING sense of style and their highly attuned palate (they are true foodies, which is how they really won my heart!). From the charcuterie and cheese table to their EPIC dessert bar to their amazing wedding day looks — everything about their wedding was Kate & Joe inspired. They even had their very own coffee blend made for favors! It was delicious and helped me with my wedding hangover the next day!
You can tell just how much these two are loved by their tribe. Everyone was so happy to be there celebrating with them! Kate did several of her bridesmaids’ makeup that day and Joe and his guys all had inside jokes or handshakes going on for their portraits together. How sweet is that?!
Okay. Now I’m going to need to really gush a bit about their personal wedding day style. O.M.G.!!! Kate donned amazing red locks, vintage-inspired blue shoes and the most STUNNING dress. I seriously can’t even with these photos of her! Oh and Joe’s suit is a legit vintage suit straight from the 1970’s from Kate’s grandfather. I mean… who can top this ensemble?! I’m a true lover of the 1960’s and 1970’s (I was born too late) and their throwback was SO spot on! WOW!
Kate & Joe opted for no first look and went traditional for the ceremony. They had readings from both of their siblings including a statement from Mildred Loving expressing the importance of freedom of marriage regardless of race, age or orientation. A message we all need to celebrate! Kate also read Joe a surprise poem, which was so heartfelt and sweet.
I love how everything about Kate & Joe is both sweet and funky! They really like to have fun, but also keep it real <3 They also second lined allll the way down the aisle for their recessional (if you know, you know 😉 )
After the ceremony we snuck away for a few portraits on Stacey from Timber Rivers’ very own vintage ford! It so matched their 1970’s vibe and the green was poppin’!
Kate & Joe both danced with their father and mother respectively. Joe and his mom dance to “Fantasy” by Earth, Wind and Fire and totally blew my mind with how much joy they brought to the room! You can tell music is important to them. They even brought in a duo from New Orleans to play for their guests! Literally every song I heard throughout the day made me start to dance and strut. The evening was laid back with lots of eating, an incredible dessert bar and celebrating the union of these two amazing people!
Congrats to Kate & Joe! Their wedding celebration was everything we needed right now!!
