Y’all. I can’t express how excited I am to have been able to photograph this little guy. Meet Anthony Ace Scramuzza <3
Born on December 18, 2017, Ace is the first great-grandbaby on my Italian side of the family. With so much spunk, alllllllllll the eyebrows and taking every heart prisoner, Ace is everything my family needed this year. My Maw Maw Sarah Scramuzza passed away last year while Ace was still a little peanut inside his momma Ashley Biernan. I was close to my grandma and it really warms my heart to know that she knew that the next generation of Scramuzzas was on the way.
Ace looks JUST LIKE HIS poppa, my cousin Tony Scramuzza when he was a baby and I can see that this little guy is going to be a handsome young man 🙂
Ashley & Tony were kind enough to let me into their home with my camera to snap photos of the three of them. I’ve never done an in-home, lifestyle session before and it was everything I wanted it to be–casual, low-key and intimate. I enjoyed photographing Ace and hanging out with his parents. He’s definitely got all the Italian features(which totally skipped me) and spunk(I guess I got that part).
Throughout the session, Ace wanted to be faced outward to see the world. We were able to capture a few smiles though and all the expressiveness of this little guy. I know he’s going to be a handful (i.e. tons of fun).
I’ve also been working on shifting my shooting and editing style and this session was the perfect opportunity for me to experiment. Enjoy the darker, warmer, and higher contrast images that I’m hoping to share more of this year.
Heart melting here!
Baby Ace’s birthmark.
How about this gorgeous momma?
I live pretty far from my hometown and family, a fact that REALLY tugs on my heart strings now that us cousins are having babies. I really look forward to seeing this little guy and his parents each time I visit. Definitely expect more photos of Ace, Ashley, and Tony in the future.
