Hey!
I'm here to capture all of life's moments. I work with couples, families, entrepreneurs and women who seek to empower themselves through boudoir photography.

I love it when wedding days go off without a hitch! And that’s exactly what happened for Erin & Michael at their elegant backyard wedding in Wilkesboro last month.
I call this wedding a “backyard wedding”. However, the wedding actually took place in Erin & Michael’s front yard at their historic Wilkesboro home. Not many folks can pull off an elegant event at their home. Erin & Michael nailed it though! From the soft pastels and greenery to the cute Prosecco truck (OMG!!!) and the simple elegance… everything was just perfect for their big day!
Erin & Michael live in Erin’s grandmother’s family home located in Wilkesboro’s historic district. The sprawling lawn and dramatic drive with the house as the charming backdrop added romance to their seasonally warm and sunlit wedding day.
I’d like to note that Erin planned her wedding all on her own and she ABSOLUTELY SLAYYYED IT! She had a vision and pulled it off perfectly! I felt like I was photographing the elegant wedding of a local celebrity (Erin, of course). I was blown away by all the details that she curated for the day! Her tablescape was a photographer’s dream come true and I love how she included old photos of family weddings and portraits taken at the house. You can tell that history and tradition are important to Erin & Michael <3
The ladies got ready in the main house while the guys got dressed and hung out at the home of a family friend across the street from the wedding. Erin did a first look with her ladies and we utilized the lovely natural light of her home for a few bridal portraits. Erin’s allowed her bridesmaids to pick out their own dresses and oh my gosh did these ladies pull it off! The soft pinks complimented the greenery of the wedding florals so beautifully!
How stunning is Erin’s classic bridal look?!
The guys were looking sharp as well. Both Erin & Michael’s dad were a part of the bridal party. I loved the charm of the historic district with old brick buildings next door to old homes — everything had so much personality!
Erin & Michael tied the knot under a gorgeous oak tree surrounded by their closest friends and family <3
When I first met Erin, I definitely felt like we had similar dispositions —easy-going, laid back and fun 🙂 I really am honored that she chose me to be her wedding photographer. One of the things that she talked about being the most excited about was portraits with her and Michael. I’m SO glad that the day allowed time and light for us to really capture the beauty of their union at their beloved home. We also took a short trip to the current home of Erin’s grandmother for photos and a stunning view of Wilkes!
Their reception took place under a *heated* tent with dinner from Reid’s catering, toasts and dances a cake cutting all before hitting the dance floor for dancing to a self-curated playlist! I really believe that smaller weddings are MORE fun because you get to spend time with everyone at your wedding. The evening ending with a sparkler exit, which is still my fave!
Cheers to Erin & Michael!
