Kati & Patrick’s wedding last month was oh so much fun!
The day began with the ladies prepping hair and makeup from Shear Shakti and drinking mimosas. Everyone was so chill and happy for the gorgeous weather! The bride’s sister and maid-of-honor put the finishing touches on table cards and decor and kept the entire day flowing smoothly. My second shooter and I snapped photos of Kati’s stunning and elegant details on the porch of White Fence Farm’s rustic farmhouse. I am IN LOVE with her engagement ring from Village Jewelers! A pale blue sapphire surrounded by white diamonds and set in a rose gold band, this ring is definitely my favorite ring of all time!!! Also, Kati’s bouquet and the ceremony arbor arrangement from Susan at Shady Grove Gardens added perfect pops of color to this late-summer wedding.
The details and table settings in the reception space were a perfect compliment to the elegant and festive theme of the day. Dinnerware were provided by Miss Match Rentals with DIY floral centerpieces. These perfectly curated details transformed the rustic feel of White Fence Farm into a beautiful lawn party with a chic tent, gold accents and bright colors.
When it came time for Kati & Patrick’s first look, we orchestrated the moment on the farmhouse porch. There was not a dry eye present! We then utilized the beautiful natural setting for portraits.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I LOVE first looks because it takes so much pressure off of the rest of the day <3 Also, these guys made me laugh at myself trying to get them to laugh. So handsome. So serious.
Kati insisted that we get a photo of her cute lil pup sitting on her dress. The fact that she wanted her dog to sit on her dress for this photo makes me SO freaking happy!!!
When it came time for the ceremony, guests made their way up to their seats while traditional Irish music from Mountain Laurels filled the air! Kati & Patrick were hitched surrounded by the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains during the golden hour.
I adore this venue for cocktail hour! Guests roam the property, drink in hand and kids have the freedom to run. Happy Trailers tap trailer allowed guests to help themselves to a stellar lineup of beer. Kati & Patrick’s reception had the BEST food and beverages. I don’t usually include very many photos of food at weddings. However, Gamekeeper catered the evening and the food was UNFORGETTABLE! Smoked trout, salmon for days and the best mashed potatoes and mac’n’cheese I’ve ever had in my life! You can definitely tell that this was the wedding of a restauranteur! Toasts and first dances were oh so sweet and the real party kicked off with fireworks. Travis Reyes of downtown Boone record store 641 RPM provided funk and soul that on vinyl that got everyone onto the dance floor. Did I mention that these are all of my favorite things?
Kati & Patrick’s day was so perfect. With so many special touches and no expense spared, they threw an amazing party. Congrats to Kati & Patrick!
