Rough Ridge Bride & Groom Session

I’m so glad this session happened. Jessica & Kevin got married back in April here in Boone (see previous blog post). They are my nerdy and fun couple, who always brings props to our sessions. They are also dedicated to getting the shot and are some of the most fun people to work with.

Kevin proposed to Jessica on Rough Ridge, and thus, this spot was special to them and they wanted to capture images of them in their wedding attire overlooking the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains. I love this because sometimes you can’t capture all of the images you want on your wedding day, especially when getting the shot means hiking up 500 feet, which most weddings just don’t have time for (and everyone would much rather be eating, drinking and being merry). So I jumped at the opportunity to photograph these two without the wedding day stress or the time constraints.

They drove all the way from Raleigh last Saturday evening for our special session, and magic ensued (literally)…
