Hey!
I'm here to capture all of life's moments. I work with couples, families, entrepreneurs and women who seek to empower themselves through boudoir photography.

Can Katrina and Jonathan get married again so I can be a guest at their wedding? I hope so because their day was SO MUCH FUN.
Katrina & Jonathan tied the knot on October 20th at Silver Fork Winery in Morganton, NC. I must admit that I had so much fun as their wedding photographer and they made my job easy! From jamming to hip hop and pop tunes with the ladies to dancing through the crowd with my camera, I had a blast photographing this gorgeous fall wedding.
When my second shooter Jesse Roberts and I arrived, Katrina and her bridesmaids were getting ready with tunes bumping and bubbles flowing. Silver Fork Winery offers a large, attractive dressing room for prepping, which is conveniently located near the reception space. The weather was cool and mild, which allowed for the reception space to stay open-aired throughout the day. The draped white fabric added an elegant touch to the interior of Silver Fork and was perfect for this stylish and elegant North Carolina mountain wedding.
I wish I could express just how much I adore Katrina & Jonathan’s style. Tables were decked with lots of greenery, gold, and deep navy tones. I thought these Moscow Mules mugs matched the decor perfectly (and moscow mules also happened to be their signature cocktail for the evening). I loved all of the Harry Potter and Marvel references scattered throughout the day. The cupcakes and themed cake from Just Roll With It were adorable and Katrina’s homemade Marvel shoes were a surprise for Jonathan at the altar <3 And don’t miss the Marvel tees that the groomsmen wore UNDER their dress shirts! These little details added a personal touch to the day.
Katrina’s bridal style is truly my favorite. With a mermaid sweetheart silhouette gown, birdcage fascinator veil, and her grandmother’s pearl earrings and bracelet, Katrina absolutely nailed her wedding day style!! Pair that with Jonathan’s chic menswear and matching florals and you have utter perfection.
The ceremony began at 6 with the mountains of Morganton, NC as a backdrop. The lamb’s ear, anemone, thistle and creamy rose florals throughout the day and on the ceremony arbor were provided by Dream Catchers Flowers & Events and absolutely blew me away! Katrina & Jonathan had a close friend officiate for them for what was the quickest ceremony I’ve ever experienced (which is exactly how they wanted it to be). My heart melts when I see the look on Jonathan’s face as he gazes upon his bride coming down the aisle. ::sigh::
We followed up the ceremony with a couple of quick photos against the mountain backdrop. I always honor my couples’ wishes on their wedding day and Katrina & Jonathan emphasized that they wanted to get to their reception as soon as possible. Thus, we kept the photos brief, but did go back out for a few more once the sun set fully and the moon showed up.
How cute are Jonathan, Dylan and Katrina?? I love their little family!
After photos is when the party started.
These two have the BEST PEOPLE. Everyone was on the dancefloor and dancing with each other. Grandmas with grandchildren, kids with each other… Katrina & Jonathan had an amazing party! Some of my favorite parts were when Jonathan, who isn’t much of a dancer, was pulled onto the dancefloor by Katrina and his other family members. He then called for his groomsmen to jump in with a “if I have to do this, so do you” gesture. Tons of great dancing ensued.
Katrina’s son Dylan was a total ham for the camera and loved letting me capture his awesome dance moves!
The night ended for photography with a staged sparkler exit. Immediately after these photos Katrina shouted, “Okay! Now come back in and drink and dance more!” Seriously, she is my hero.
I’m so happy for Katrina & Jonathan and for the opportunity to get to know them and photograph their wedding. I hope that I get to drink wine with them sometime at Silver Fork Winery and wish them all the best in this new chapter!
