Caitlin & Matt booked me back in February when the world was still cold and brown, and staying cuddled up inside is where everyone wanted to be. When they decided to make me their wedding photographer, they knew they wanted to capture more than just the fun of their wedding day, so they also booked an engagement AND bridal session. We shot their engagement session in the spring, but Caitlin wanted her bridal session to be mountain-themed and as close to their October wedding as possible. I love Blue Ridge Bridals!
We scheduled our shoot on a Sunday afternoon, and Caitlin drove up from Raleigh. The mountains were doing their overcast thing that day, which made for fantastically soft light. We started our session in Blowing Rock, NC at the Annie Cannon Gardens before heading to the Blue Ridge Parkway. My favorite stop was at Julian Price Park, which offered some of the fall colors that Caitlin was hoping for. Leaf season happened late this year! I just love the atmosphere in these images, and Caitlin wasn’t afraid to venture down paths or walk through a field in her dress! She was so lovely, and I’m thankful to have been able to work with these two 🙂 Congrats to Caitlin & Matt.
